Chronology
1997-1998 :
opening of the business complex including 317 rooms and suites and some reception lounges. Launching of “Espace Congrès” : spaces dedicated to company events. Specially set up for expositions, show rooms but also for sub-commission meeting rooms…
Opening of the “Ailleurs” restaurant : oriented south, it has a direct access to private terraces and to the swimming pool and also to the inside tropical patio.
2003-2004 :
the “Panoramique”, which includes “Babord” and “Tribord”, offers 360 m2 to host up to 400 diners as well as plenary meetings and shows, thanks to its two entertainment areas with each a stage. A company that wants to host and also to communicate a positive image must have at its disposal work spaces separated from the dining spaces when the event is held over several days.
Opening of the new independent congress center including an amphitheatre adaptable to audiences from 150 to 400 : “Amphitrite”. Additional reception halls including the “Cyclades” offering 180m2 dividable into two sub-rooms with full technical equipment “Milos” and “Santorin”. During the warm season, these spaces have direct access to private terraces by the swimming pool.
Launching of the “Oliviers”, 240m2 available to any configuration for work sessions (U, class room, theatre, …). These spaces have an independent access which guarantees the autonomy of the hosted group. They also have direct access onto a private terrace for breaks or cocktails…
2006-2007 :
Two outdoor decks fully equipped are made available, “l’Esplanade” of 1000 m2 is totally gated and the “Parc d’Exposition” has 2500 m2 for large-scale expositions, heavy material expositions, marquees installations, etc…
15 new reception halls are created for smaller meetings or sub-commissions complementing the plenary meetings. Some of theses rooms allow private lunches or dinners for all needs of discretion. All of them are equipped with DSL, videoconference, video projector and projecting screen so that each client can concentrate on the theme of his meeting ; because one event’s logistics are our concern, not our customers’.
Our projects :
On the existing site, WEST-EVENTS will integrate two new congress centers, thus doubling the current surface of reception. These new constructions have been designed to offer the highest flexibility and have exposition surfaces of 2500m2 on the ground floor, 1500 m2 on the top floor and 1500m2 underground. To allow the optimal practicality of the areas and to guarantee a high level of service to our clients there will be extra additions of a kitchen, lavatories and storage. A total of 15 rooms from 80 to 1200 m2 will be available, including new amphitheatres with varying welcoming capacities of 180/220 seats, 400/550 seats and 600/900 seats.
We also wish to build a hall of over 1000 m2 for shows, with the catering possibility of up to 2000 diners, which we could also transform into a private night club or simply into a meeting room with full technical equipment. Because we wish to be able to fulfill the expectations of each client by offering the most fitted space, the adequate decors and the related services so that you have the satisfaction of a successful event. The “espace West-Events” with its 900m2 of terrace will open new areas for catering, shows or expositions with the possibility of subdivision of 80 up to 600 m2. Since the Nantes metropolis does not offer any reception infrastructure of great capacity, we thought about designing, developing and offering spaces of character fitted to the professional expectations of companies and all other professional organizations.
